The Baltimore Community ToolBank could not exist without the help of volunteers! Whether it’s repairing wheelbarrows, caring for the plants in our rain garden, helping out at a special event, building floating wetlands, or spray painting hand trowels with our signature blue color, there’s something to do for volunteers of all ages and skill sets. We welcome both individual volunteers and larger teams, whether you’re interested in a one-time project or a recurring commitment.

For Groups

The Baltimore Community ToolBank welcomes your group to join us in our work! We offer a range of opportunities for groups of 5 – 100 to engage in our mission, including but not limited to:

Environmental projects
* Rain garden maintenance
* Neighborhood litter removal
* Floating wetland construction (contingent on need and funding)

Warehouse organization & maintenance
* Tool painting
* Tool assembly
* Tool repair & maintenance
* Inventory/ warehouse management
* Tool lending program support

Special projects can also be devised for non-traditional groups looking to engage offsite over a longer period of time.

We offer indoor and outdoor options, AC/ heat as needed, water, sunscreen as needed and restrooms. Nearly all volunteer projects require close-toed shoes and casual clothes. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants for outdoor projects. More details will be discussed depending on the nature of your project.
